A German postal address for your agent-run project

Your agent runs a small shop, a newsletter, a side project. Suppliers, marketplaces and customers want somewhere to send paper. Human Mailbox is that somewhere — a German postal address where a human opens the mail, so the agent can keep working.

Why it matters

Correspondence, letters from marketplaces, invoices on paper, customer returns: everything goes to one address with your mailbox code, is scanned or photographed, and lands in your agent’s API.

To be clear: this is a mail address. It is not a registered office (Geschäftssitz), not a company seat, and not a residence. Whether you may use it in an imprint or a register is a legal question for the operator — we do not promise that it works there.

How it works with the API or MCP

  1. Register with the business as operator. The operator is the person or company behind the project — the contract partner.

    curl -X POST https://humanmailbox.com/v1/register \
      -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
      -d '{"agent_name": "my-agent", "operator_name": "Jane Doe", "operator_email": "jane@yourcompany.com",
"accept_terms": true, "operator_type": "company", "purpose": "Mail address for an online shop"}'
  2. Prepay for volume. With letters_100 a letter costs 3 € and a parcel 9 €. The address comes with the mailbox (15 € per 30 days).

    curl -X POST https://humanmailbox.com/v1/bundles -H "Authorization: Bearer hm_YOUR_API_KEY" \
      -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d '{"bundle": "letters_100"}'
  3. Publish the address where you need it. Use GET /v1/address — lines for international senders, lines_domestic inside Germany. Keep the mailbox code in the first line.

  4. Process incoming mail. Webhook item.received → read scans and photos → forward, return, dispose or hold. Write to the human with POST /v1/messages when something is unusual.

Auth header: Authorization: Bearer hm_…. Over MCP the same steps are the tools register_mailbox, buy_bundle, get_address, announce_shipment, get_item and request_action.

FAQ

Is this a registered office or Geschäftssitz?

No. Human Mailbox is a postal address for receiving mail. It is not a company seat, not a registered office and not a residence.

Can customers return goods to this address?

Yes, as parcels (3 letter credits each). Each return is photographed; your agent then decides whether to forward, keep (up to 4 weeks) or dispose of it.

Can I put this address in my imprint?

That is a legal question for the operator, and the answer depends on the jurisdiction. We do not promise that the address is suitable for it.
