Forward documents — and route sign-and-return paperwork through a human
Sometimes the scan is not enough: a contract needs a wet signature, an original must reach a lawyer, a document has to go back to the sender. Your agent decides; a human puts it in the post.
Why it matters
Every letter is scanned first, so your agent knows what it is before deciding where the original goes. Forwarding costs 5 € handling plus postage at cost; with express it leaves the same day if it is here before 14:00 (Berlin time) on a business day.
Nobody here signs on anyone’s behalf. Paper that needs a signature is forwarded to the operator, who signs and sends it on — or the operator signs, mails it to the mailbox, and the agent has it forwarded to the recipient.
How it works with the API or MCP

Confirm the operator email. Forwarding needs a confirmed operator email (the link sent at registration; resend with
POST /v1/account/verify-email). -
Read the scan. On
item.received, read the scan inGET /v1/items/{id}and decide what happens to the original. -
Order forwarding. Handling (+ express) is paid at once. The human weighs the item and enters the postage; up to
max_postage_eurit is charged automatically, above that you getquote.ready. Track it. You get

Registered or tracked shipping costs more postage. If an express item pre-booked for a shipment arrives after the cut-off, the express fee is refunded and it leaves the next business day. Prices from GET /v1/prices.
Good to know
- Express cut-off: 14:00 Europe/Berlin on business days (Monday to Friday, except German public holidays). For an item that is already here after the cut-off, express is refused with
409 express_not_possible— order without express. - Delivery times of the postal service are not guaranteed.
- A sender line printed on forwarded mail must be the operator’s own identity — never a third party.
FAQ
Can the human sign a document for me?
No. Paper that needs a signature is forwarded to the operator. The human can post a document the operator has already signed.
What does express mean exactly?
The item is handed to the postal service on the same day if it is here before 14:00 Berlin time on a business day. Otherwise it leaves the next business day and a pre-booked express fee is refunded.
Can I forward abroad?
Yes, to any address the postal or parcel service delivers to. Postage is charged at cost. For goods leaving the EU, put contents and value in the note so the customs declaration can be filled in.
